How the process works!

STEP 1: Contact Me

You found out about me — GREAT! Calling me directly, emailing, or texting are all equally effective ways to get the portrait process started!

STEP 2: Who Is The Portrait Of?

You and your partner? Your partner, sibling, friend, or parent? Yourself?

STEP 3: Pick A Location

1.You’re recently engaged and want an alternative to a traditional photoshoot. Choose any location; we’ll figure out the details together.

2. You’re getting married and want a portrait of you both all dressed up. I would be invited to the wedding where we would stage and shoot my reference photos in between the festivities.

3. You want a portrait of yourself or another individual. We can work together as to where you or this person wants to be portrayed.

STEP 4: Pick Your Clothing

This is a crucial step that will create the overarching tone of the portrait. I love to help whoever wants it and admire those who don’t. Dress for a gala or dress for work. I want the picture to portray the people in it how they see themselves.

STEP 5: Reference Material

We’ll meet in the middle of your vision and mine. Providing examples of things that you like will make the finished product feel less like a surprise than it would if you left everything up to me (which is an option). Examples: models, outfits, portraits, paintings, photographs, SHOW ME ANYTHING YOU LIKE!

STEP 6: Meet Up For Reference Photoshoot

The previous steps were laid out in this way to provide some insight into what I need, but the process between the artist and the client will appear far more like a conversation than a questionnaire. The reference photoshoot will be 4-8 hours of collaboration and fun. The more we both enjoy the experience the better the painting will turn out!
